Mary and Olga Take Up Bicycling for George Transcript

George: (Laughing) My sister Mary mothered me, you know? She would always be, looking for me. All-all my sisters, we-we had a lit-little bit of a spat with my sister Helen. But my sisters Olga and Mary were close, and they would always take care of, watch me, they would drag me along, uh, wherever they went. Yanno, we-we were a close-knit family we would try to do things together. We would sometimes bicycle over to Astoria Park. My sisters, had gotten bicycles; they used to like to play tennis. They would get the tennis permits from the city and they could play at the courts at Astoria Park, and they would bicycle over there. I think they originally-they took the bus but they figured “Oh, okay, we can bicycle over there.” So they would-they would bicycle over there, I remember. We have pictures uh of everybody at Astoria Park. It was, uh, nice there.
